Evaluating Job Offers

When comparing job offers, you really need to compare all aspects of each job offer.

When you receive a job offer, it's important to take the time to carefully evaluate the offer so you are making an educated decision to accept, or to reject, the offer.

Employers often use checklists to organize assessments of applicants and to help in ranking them.

This link is a simple checklist that you can use to compile information and compare job offers to assist you in making the best possible decision.

Giving Back

As the holidays are ending, the season of “giving” often takes a break as well. The beginning of the New Year can be especially difficult for those who are less fortunate, so why not extend the season of giving a little longer.

This could be a great opportunity for you and your staff members to reach out to those in need in your community while bonding with each other. As a team, you could meet and share ideas and come up with a plan for what you would like to do. There are many existing events to choose from, or you could come up with your own project.

The internet can be a great resource for finding opportunities to participate in, and there are several websites dedicated to pointing you in the right direction. For example: www.smartvolunteer.org and www.serve.gov are set up so that you can select the skills that you have to offer and your location and they will provide you with a list of possible opportunities to choose from.

Some other options are to contact local organizations, like Habitat for Humanity, to provide toothbrushes and other dental supplies for family members moving into new homes or visit local elementary schools to educate children on proper oral hygiene.

The possibilities are endless for you and your team to use your valuable training and resources to help others, and you will all benefit from the experience and time spent together. Don’t forget to share your experiences with your patients on your website, or Facebook page; they will surely appreciate your efforts to help out the community.
